Under the leadership of Program Director, Dr. Gwendolyn Reeve, and Chair, Dr. David Behrman, the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program provides a commitment to the residents through challenging clinical experience, clinical and scientific research, and mentorship.
Residents may participate in research in a variety of settings from basic science to clinical trials and outcomes-based research. Residents can participate in one of several clinical trials, which are actively enrolling subjects in areas such as cancer detection, or the treatment of temporomandibular spectrum diseases. Many of the residents have published peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, or traveled to present their research at national conferences.
