In May 2020, right in the smack of the Pandemic, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After Chemo Therapy, a double mastectomy, radiation therapy, a heart attack, and a mild stroke, I am grateful to be alive. I had a team of great doctors that have helped in my treatment. I am blessed to have been surrounded by so much good energy and so many positive people who helped me through. I am a devoted Wife to my husband of 15 years who walked with me through it all. I am loyal to my friends of whom have mostly been around for 45 or more years, my Nephew who helped wherever he could, and my Mother, a Breast Cancer survivor, who mentored me, along with my family members from near and far who called, wrote, or were prayer warriors. As a spiritual being, I know that I had a “footsteps in the sand moment”, because it was God who carried me through.
