Thank you for your interest in the General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian.
Each year the Division accepts seven individuals to our one-year General Practice Residency and two individuals to our second-year General Practice Residency. The GPR program strives to train outstanding general dentists. During their year at Weill Cornell/NYP the residents are exposed to and render a wide scope of dental services to a broad patient demographic base including general dentistry, prosthodontics, implant dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, TMJ disorders, pediatric and special care dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral medicine / oral oncology. In addition to a robust clinical experience, residents participate in didactic programming, which ensures that the residents’ dental practice is rooted in and informed by scientific literature.
The Residency participates with PASS and the match. Interviews are held during the second week of December for the upcoming year’s residents. This residency program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Residents are salaried by NewYork-Presbyterian while they provide inpatient and outpatient care at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
